Sterling Animal Clinic provides emergency and preventative care for farm animals and pets.
We also have horse stocks on clinic property for working on equine wounds.
In conventional wound closure, the wound is cleaned and sutured. Our systems adds 1 step before suturing. The edge of the wound is treated with a laser, which controls pain and bacterial contamination. Learn more at: www.aesculight.com The 2nd step is the suturing. Next is vacuum therapy, which removes tissue swelling, improves healing by increased blood supply, and helps control infection by removing fluids and dead tissue that impedes healing.
3 step wound closure
1. Laser edges of wound
2. Suture wound
3. Vacuum wound

We can now add a new medical apparatus for wound closure. The apparatus salesman is in Littleton, Colorado and we can purchase an instrument for $500.00 to help close the wound successfuly by adding laser and vacuum assisted closure. Go to www.dermaclose.com for more information.
We have a full small animal clinic with superb anesthetic support by our CardioQ machine. See: www.deltexmedical.com.
CardioQ monitoring equipment insures a safer experience in surgery and quicker recovery.
We are not a specialist or board certified in any specialized area. We have just expanded our unique services within practice range of my Veterinary license in Colorado only.
We offer unique medical tests not always found in
Veterinary clinics. Ionized calcium is one of those
tests that has helped to diagnose cancer in dogs,
milk fever in cows, and pancreatitis in vomiting
cats.
Ionized calcium is best done in clinic and not sent
out because the results change over time; thus
making them potentially useless if not done at the clinic.
We also offer after hours emergency service from the Nebraska state line to Denver using I76 access. WE DO NOT OFFER GUARANTEED AVAILABILITY AS THIS IS A ONE VETERINARIAN PRACTICE.

Our blood work on calves and cows has been helpful in diagnosing fibrinous pneumonia.
